As a chorus dancer in the Lutesse City Opera, classically trained soprano Seraphina Dallier does not sing in front of people. That is, until one fateful night, she slips up, and her heretically magical singing voice attracts the attention of a mysterious stranger…and the theocratic authorities.

Carlee Brae is an independent romance and romantasy author, publishing her debut novel in December 2025. While she always dreamt of one day being a novelist, she took a slight detour after studying professional writing in university, and spent 15 years working as a chef instead.Carlee’s first love is dance—she’s spent the better part of the last thirty four years in class, on stage, and more recently, backstage, as a dance mom for her two daughters.Carlee would never be able to write a convincing HEA without her husband—her highschool sweetheart, and her forever happily ever after.
